No more cracked jars from autoclave!
 
These are my favorite jars for liquid culture/culture media for a few reasons: The wide mouth lid is perfect for any "lid tek" modification. They are easier to clean than regular mouth jars, and they are made from hi-borosilicate/temperature resistant glass.
 
Tip: Always wait until pressure reaches 0 before venting.. And when you do open the vent, make sure to do it VERY slowly (the vaccum inside after steralization is usually what causes cracking, not heating too fast).
