Once set temperature is reached, your set time will start, then it will automatically turn off after time is up. You can literally set it and forget it
 
Tip: Paul stamets suggests that agar and water temperature needs to achieve 120 degrees celcius to for at least 30 minutes to fully kill endospores and certian bacteria. It can take about 15 minutes for things to arrive at that temperature even after 15psi (or 120 C) has been reached. So it's best to set your timer for 45 minutes. 
 
Note! This is for 220 outlets only. If you dont already have one, its actually not very hard to install a 220 outlet yourself (near your electric pannel). Just be sure to follow safety precautions!!
